Patio Door Locks
I love the French doors that lead out to the patio in our backyard. In the summer they provide easy access into and out of the kitchen when the weather is nice and we are entertaining. And in the winter, the doors let in more light than we would get if we’d simply had a window in that spot. But after installing the doors, we had to take special precautions to keep our house secure, including the purchase of a special patio door lock.
My son is a toddler and he is especially fascinated with the patio doors. He has finally learned how to open the doors using the handles and a couple of times we have found him wandering around out in the backyard. This is very dangerous since he could easily hurt himself out there if we weren’t watching him, or even wander away from the house. Because of this we had to secure the doors with a special patio door lock that is toddler-proof as well.
